Carnival Rewards is live now — curious what casino folks are seeing

I was reading Travel Weekly and Cruise Radio this weekend, and the big item that jumped out to me for our crowd is that Carnival’s new Carnival Rewards program is now officially live, with casino points feeding into the new loyalty setup too. What I’m wondering is how this is going to feel in real life for the casino side once a few more people have sailed under it. Not saying it means better offers or worse offers either way, because those are always their call, but I do think a lot of us will be watching how quickly things post and whether onboard play changes anything about status progress in a noticeable way. Anybody here already sailed Carnival in September and seen how your points, stars, or casino-related tracking looked after the trip? I’m especially curious if the casino desk explained it clearly or if it was still a little fuzzy onboard.

Haven’t been on Carnival yet since this went live, but I’ve seen enough loyalty “upgrades” over the years to know the first month usually comes with more shrugging at the casino desk than answers. Back in the old days they’d handwave half of it and a host would sort it out later. What I’ll be watching is simple stuff: did the points post cleanly, did onboard totals match what folks thought they played, and did the app/site catch up without a three-week nap. If anybody sailed already, were table players getting clear tracking info too, or mostly the slot crowd?

I haven’t done a September Carnival yet, but I’m very interested in the table-game side of this too. That’s usually where these rollouts get murky, since slots tend to show up more cleanly and tables depend a lot on rating accuracy at the pit. If anyone has already sailed under the new setup, I’d love to know whether your folio or the hub/app gave you any usable detail during the voyage, or if you still had to ask the casino desk for a manual read on your play. Also curious whether shorter 3-4 day runs are posting any differently than weeklong sailings.

I haven’t done a September one yet, but Gene and I were just talking about this over coffee because Carnival rollouts do tend to be a little lumpy at first. What I’d tell anybody on an early sailing is keep your own little notes each day, especially if you bounce between slots, poker machines, and tables. Nothing fancy, just enough so you remember what looked right and what didn’t. I’m also curious whether the non-casino side posts faster than the casino side. If somebody’s already back, did your online account update all at once or in pieces?
