Margaritaville just sweetened its casino club perks
Saw a genuinely fresh one this week in Cruise Industry News: Margaritaville at Sea expanded its Casino Players Club benefits, bookable now for sailings starting October 1. The part that made me look twice was the offer-match angle for players coming from other cruise lines or land casinos, plus some new upper-tier perks like Wi-Fi, host service, and for certain top players even an extra oceanview cabin for friends or family.
Now, I know Margaritaville is not everybody’s first casino-cruise thought, but this is the kind of move that gets my attention because it may put a little pressure on other lines to stay competitive with offers. Denise would hear “extra cabin” and already be inviting cousins. Anybody here actually played onboard with Margaritaville yet, or thinking about testing an offer match just to see how they treat casino folks?

That offer-match piece is what caught my eye too. Not because I expect miracles, but because it’s a low-stakes way to see how a line handles casino guests before committing to much. Gene and I did something similar years back with a land offer and learned real fast that the fine print matters more than the headline. I’d want to know how they calculate tier matches, and whether the onboard perks are loaded automatically or need a host to fix them. If anybody tries it, I’d love to hear how smooth the process was.
