Carnival’s new rewards program is live — anyone seeing casino side effects yet?

Just spotted a genuinely new one that I think matters to the casino crowd: Carnival officially launched its new Carnival Rewards program on September 1, replacing VIFP. I read the summaries in Cruise Industry News and Travel Weekly this week. The part that caught my eye is that casino play now feeds into the broader loyalty setup too, with stars tied to casino points, instead of casino activity feeling totally off to the side. My fine-print brain says the big question is not the headline, it’s the real-world effect. Sometimes a program sounds generous on launch day, then the offer patterns, onboard bounce-backs, and mailing cadence tell the real story a few sailings later. Not saying this means better or worse casino offers for anybody, because those are always discretionary. But if you’ve sailed Carnival since September 1, have you noticed any change at all in your casino offers, host contact, or how points/showing in your account are posting?

I haven’t sailed Carnival post-9/1 yet, but I’m really curious how cleanly the casino points are translating into the new stars in real life. Launches always look neat on paper, then the account posting is where the weird stuff shows up. On other lines I’ve seen a lag between casino activity onboard and what finally appears in the loyalty side, especially after a comped sailing. If anyone has done a recent trip, did your casino play show up quickly in the app/account, or was it more of a wait-and-see situation? That part may tell us a lot before the offers do.
