Carnival Rewards starts Sept. 1, and casino play will feed into it

Yeah, the key line for me is "left at end of sailing after any Fun Play redemption." That makes the rewards-point side feel more like a sweep-up bucket than a true double dip.
So if someone usually burns casino points onboard, they may end up with fewer Carnival Rewards points than they expect. Status stars look simpler since those track casino points earned, not leftover balance.
My guess: Player’s Club offers still run on their own math behind the curtain, and this just adds a parallel loyalty benefit. I’d mostly watch whether Carnival starts valuing casino-heavy players differently on the non-casino side. Curious if anyone has seen wording on whether table-game points convert exactly the same as slots.
What I’m flagging is timing and definitions. Carnival’s FAQ wording matters a lot here: “casino points earned” for status stars versus “casino points left at the end of the sailing after any Fun Play redemption” for rewards points are two different buckets. So before changing redemption habits, I’d want to know whether points zero out nightly, at voyage end, or only when you redeem. Also worth checking whether Carnival posts any exclusions by game type in the terms, not just the marketing summary. If anyone sails right after Sept. 1, please screenshot the onboard balance screens and post what actually tracks where.
I read it as Carnival finally letting the left hand shake with the right, but only a little. Back in the day, casino programs and ship loyalty programs might as well have been living on different decks. This at least ties them together on paper.
What I’d watch is whether folks start chasing regular status stars through casino play and then find out the useful part is still whatever the Player’s Club decides to send later. Two different animals. Nice if the new program tosses you extra general loyalty value, but I wouldn’t assume it changes the comp pipeline much.
Anybody got a booking after Sept. 1 out of PortMiami or Canaveral who can report what the folio/app actually shows?
