Carnival’s new Rewards program is getting very real now
I was reading Carnival’s help pages this week after seeing some chatter in the cruise news, and one detail jumped out at me: guests keep earning status in the old VIFP program only through August 31, 2026, and the new Carnival Rewards setup credits eligible onboard spend, including casino play, at the end of the sailing.
That got my attention because plenty of us here care about how casino play fits into the bigger loyalty picture, even if offers and comps are always their own moving target. Gene and I have learned not to assume any one program change will be better until we’ve lived with it a while.
Are any of you changing your play or booking plans before September 1, or just waiting to see how this settles out in real life?
