Anybody watching Carnival Rewards now that the milestone change is live?
I was reading Cruise Industry News, and they had a June 14 piece saying Carnival’s new Carnival Rewards setup includes milestone recognition based on days sailed instead of just counting cruises. That caught my eye because a lot of us casino folks tend to stack shorter sailings, while others do those longer journeys and have felt a little shortchanged under the old way.
My take: any loyalty change is worth reading carefully before we assume it helps our particular style of cruising. Gene and I learned long ago that the fine print matters more than the headline. I’m curious how this community sees it. If you’re a Carnival casino regular, do you think days sailed is fairer, or does it mostly favor the longer-cruise crowd? And do you think these broader loyalty changes ever end up affecting how you choose where to play onboard?
