Royal brought back double points, but casino bookings are excluded
Saw an item this week in Royal Caribbean Blog that Royal has brought back a double Crown & Anchor points promo for new bookings made July 21-31, 2026, on sailings from September 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. The part that caught my eye for this crowd: casino offers are specifically excluded.
That took me back a bit. Years ago the lines kept loyalty and casino in separate filing cabinets too, just with less polished wording. Same song, newer orchestra. If you book retail, nice little bump. If you sail on casino mailers or certificates, looks like no extra points from this promo.
Curious how folks here read it. Does this move the needle for anyone to book outside casino offers for a run at status, or is it just another reminder that the casino side and the loyalty side still don’t quite hold hands?
