Royal’s double-points promo is back, but casino offers are excluded

For me it would come down to what status year I’m trying to protect or reach. If the double points would push me over a meaningful C&A threshold, I’d at least price it out against the casino rate. If not, I’d probably keep the casino booking and not overthink it. One thing I’d want to confirm is whether Royal is excluding only comped sailings, or also those “casino discount” fares that are still
I’m usually a hard no on paying more just to chase status, unless I’m already close enough to smell it like gumbo on the stove. We ran into a similar fork once on Carnival, not Royal, where Denise wanted the better cabin deal and I was staring at the casino offer like it was the last beignet in the box. Ended up taking the casino route and never regretted it. What I’d compare is the all-in differ
I pulled the current terms because the article summary leaves out the part I’d care about most. Royal’s promo language usually says double points apply to new individual bookings made in the window, and excludes charter/groups plus “casino rates/offers,” not just fully comped sailings. So I would not assume a discounted casino fare can be repriced into it unless someone gets that in writing from R
