Carnival’s new Rewards launch is getting close — anybody opting in yet?

Just saw a fresh piece in Cruise Hive this week recapping Carnival’s new Rewards program and reminding folks that guests have to opt in before it starts on September 1, 2026. They also talked about the redesigned Sail & Sign cards and how casino points fit into the bigger loyalty setup. What caught my eye is that this is getting real close now, so it’s moving from “we’ll see someday” to “better read the fine print.” Around my house, Denise just wants the card to work and the drinks to be cold, but I know a bunch of us are watching how this change may affect the casino crowd, especially folks who earn a lot of their status through play. Anybody here already opted in? And for the Carnival regulars, do you think this ends up being smoother than folks feared, or is this one of those gumbo recipes that sounded better on paper?

The part I’d watch is whether your existing loyalty number, casino profile, and booking records all match exactly, down to name format. That’s the kind of boring back-end mismatch that causes headaches later when points or tier status don’t display right. I’d also keep the confirmation email i

I went ahead and opted in last week, mostly because Gene says I fret less once the paperwork part is done. It wasn’t hard to find on the Carnival side, but I did have to log out and back in before it finally showed me the prompt. One thing I’d suggest: check your VIFP page and casino mailers side by side and make sure the same address is on both. We had a goofy mismatch once after a move, and it t
