Worth checking the actual promo terms before assuming it applies broadly. With Royal, these double Crown & Anchor promos are often limited by booking window, sail dates, ship/category, and sometimes only certain members are targeted. The big gotcha is usually that the bonus points post after sailing, not instantly, so anyone chasing a tier before an upcoming cruise should read that part carefully.
I haven’t booked this Royal one, but I did get burned once assuming a loyalty promo would “just happen” without screenshots. Now if Denise spots one, I save the page, the terms, and the booking confirmation like it’s grandma’s gumbo recipe. Makes it a whole lot easier if points post funny later. I’d separate cruise loyalty from casino value and track them as two different buckets. Royal’s C&A points are pretty straightforward on paper, but casino bookings can make people assume everything stacks the same way when it doesn’t always. I keep a little sheet with booking date, sail date, fare type, and what was promised. Saves me from trusting my memory, which has been worse than my blackjack
