Sounds like a good week to me. We did a 7-night out of Port Canaveral this spring, and the first evening was such a zoo in the casino that Gene and I just took a lap, got our bearings, and came back later. I’ve found that helps me avoid making silly plays just because there’s a crowd and a lot of noise. On sea days I usually stick to video poker for a bit, then call it when my envelope for the day is empty. Which western Caribbean ports did you enjoy most this time?

On a couple Royal sailings out of Galveston, I wrote the loyalty desk times in my phone notes the first night because they were not always staffed when I assumed they would be. Sea-day rhythm is the big thing for me on a 7-night. I usually split sessions up instead of camping out for one long run. My spreadsheet brain likes that better anyway, and honestly my bankroll usually does too. Curious which ship this was, and whether the casino felt more crowded on the first sea day or after port days?
