Carnival’s new Rewards milestones are getting closer now

Just saw a June 14 piece in Cruise Industry News about Carnival’s upcoming Rewards rollout, and the part that jumped out at me was the milestone change. Instead of counting cruises, they’re moving milestone recognition to days sailed when the new program takes effect in September 2026. That’s interesting for this crowd because a lot of us already think in nightly theo, trip length, and how much value we really get from a run. If milestones are tied to days instead of just cruise count, longer sailings might finally get recognized a little better on the loyalty side. Obviously casino offers are still their own animal and always at the line’s discretion, but I’m curious how Carnival regulars here see this. Good change, or does it mostly help one type of cruiser over another? My spreadsheet brain likes cleaner math. My bankroll usually has other opinions.

I actually think days sailed makes more sense than raw cruise count. Gene and I have done those quick 3- and 4-day hops out of Port Canaveral, and they never felt the same as a 7-day once you look at time onboard, casino hours, and just wear-and-tear on the wallet.
